This is the American-made version of the Marin, built in the USA with a more traditional welted construction. If you like the comfort and style of the regular Marin but want a more premium, traditionally built work boot, this is the step up.
 
So what does “welted” actually mean?
Instead of simply bonding the upper of the boot directly to the sole, a welted boot uses a separate strip of material around the perimeter to help attach the upper to the sole. It’s a more traditional method of boot construction designed with durability and longevity in mind.
 
This version is also waterproof and has a soft toe, making it a great option if you want a premium everyday work boot but don’t need composite-toe protection.
