on Mon, 03/04/2013 - 18:11

"Cincy Vibe" Magazine has reviewed our soon to be released "Play It Again" and THEY LOVE IT! "Ronnie Vaughn not only keeps a live show schedule stacked, he keeps busy busting out more & more original work. As long as he keeps coming up with new music, we’ll keep writing about it. This latest effort is well worth reporting on too! I wonder if we’re the only one’s who do? If so, that would be a big bowl of wrong." - See more at: Cincy Vibe

"Play it Again!" Recording Sessions Finished! CD Release Party!

on Thu, 12/20/2012 - 20:20

The V&C crew just finished recording our next full-length CD "Play it Again!" at Ultrasuede studios with the help of Professor Bill Gwynne. We went for more of a live and fresh sound, trying to capture as much of the instrumentation of the song as we could within a few takes and then overdubbing a little and adding vocals. Mixing is next. We are pumped! We believe this will be our best CD yet with 14 songs in total and not a throw-in among them.

Studio Time!

on Mon, 10/29/2012 - 18:44

Vaughn and Company will be heading to Ultrasuede Studio on Dec 15th to begin recording our next CD to be titled "Play it Again!" At this point it looks like we will have about 13-15 songs to place on the CD. We are looking forward to working again with Bill Gwynne who produced and recorded "Still Worth It." We are excited about this new batch of tunes and the addition of Greg Hurd on saxophone.

Mid Summer Update

on Mon, 08/06/2012 - 15:37

So it’s been an awesome summer for V & C so far! Ronnie performed one of our new songs “Better Yet” live on Channel 19’s local show "Cincinnality".

V & C had a great set at Goettafest, featuring the debut of our newest member, Greg Hurd on saxophone. Greg is a monster player and adds an exciting new element to the band’s live show and sound.

In the near future, Ronnie will be opening for Train Wed, August 8th at Riverbend and we will again travel to Indiana to play the opening weekend festivities for Ivy Tech College.

May Updates

V & C in Cincy Vibe & CityBeat Magazine’s “Best Of 2011”!

on Thu, 01/05/2012 - 13:30

Vaughn & Company is proud to let you know we were well represented in Cincy Vibe's “Best Of 2011 Reader's Choice” Awards!

Vaughn and Company was voted “Best Original Band.” Ronnie Vaughn’s duo  “Gangbox,” with Jason Ritchie, was voted “Rowdiest Band” and Ronnie was also voted “Best Solo Act”. Cincy Vibe had this to say about Ronnie:

“Ronnie Vaughn is a musical hustler. He’s one full band, one duo (Gangbox) and one solo act. His original work has merit in it’s comedy, it’s song writing and it’s pickin’.”

Vaughn & Co Writing Songs For Our Next CD!

on Wed, 09/21/2011 - 13:13

As Summer fades, our focus turns towards writing new songs for the next Vaughn & Co CD. The positive reaction to our last effort, "Still Worth It," has us excited and looking forward to having the input of keyboardist and vocalist, Al Leffler, from the beginning of the process. Al has already contributed with "Carlos," a tale of a trip across the boarder to pick up some sweet goods gone awry with the help of a young lady with bad intentions and a certain connection to a man named Carlos. We are currently playing this one live and flushing out the arrangement.
